This is Anfield

"The most charasmatic manager in football history, a remarkable leader and visionary. An inspirational character. True icon and legend."

'Some people believe football is a matter of life and death, I am very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.'

'Liverpool was made for me and I was made for Liverpool.'

'The trouble with referees is that they know the rules, but they don't know the game.'

To a journalist who suggested Liverpool were struggling - 'Ay, here we are with problems at the top of the league.'

Explaining to Kevin Keegan what's expected of him at Anfield - 'Just go out and drop a few hand grenades all over the place son!'

'I know this is a sad occasion, but I think that Dixie would be amazed to know that even in death he could draw a bigger crowd to Goodison than Everton on a Saturday afternoon.' - speaking at the funeral of Everton legend Dixie Dean.

To Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee - 'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee!'

To Ian St John - 'If you're not sure what to do with the ball, just pop it in the net and we'll discuss your options afterwards.'

'In my time at Anfield we always said we had the best two teams on Merseyside - Liverpool and Liverpool Reserves.'

About the 'This is Anfield' plaque - 'This is to remind our lads who they're playing for, and to remind the opposition who they're playing against.'

Shankly to the Brussels hotel clerk who queried his signing 'Anfield' as his address on the hotel register - 'But that's where I live.'

Comparing the Anfield pitch to other grounds - 'It's great grass at Anfield, professional grass!'

On awaiting Everton's arrival for a derby game at Anfield, Shankly gave a box of toilet rolls to the doorman and said - 'Give them these when they arrive - they'll need them!'

'I always look in the Sunday paper to see where Everton are in the league - starting, of course, from the bottom up.'

After losing to Ajax in the 1967 European Cup - 'We cannot play these defensive continental sides!'

What Shanks disliked about football - 'The end of the season.'

Radio Merseyside reporter to Shankly - 'Mr Shankly, why is it that your team's unbeaten run has suddenly ended?' Shanks replied: 'Why don't you go and jump in the lake?'

To reporters after a 3-0 defeat - 'They're nothing but rubbish. Three breakaways, that's all they got.'

To a translator, when being surrounded by gesticulating Italian journalists - 'Just tell them I completely disagree with everything they say!'

To the Anfield PA during a match - 'Son, can ye no' talk into that microphone when the players are in the penalty box. You're putting them off, you're doing more damage than the opposition.'

Shankly on boardroom meetings - 'At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques.'

'After a 0-0 draw at Anfield - 'What can you do playing against 11 goalposts!'

'Fire in your belly comes from pride and passion in wearing the red shirt. We don't need to motivate players because each of them is responsible for the performance of the team as a whole. The status of Liverpool's players keeps them motivated.'

10 Ways To Save Money On Petrol

1) Slow and steady wins the race
Gasoline mileage drops off in most cars once you're going faster than about 60 mph (see chart at left). For every 5 mph you drive over 60 mph, you're essentially paying an extra 24 cents per gallon of gas. Try using cruise control on interstates and other highways to maintain a constant speed. It can also help to use your car's overdrive gears, which save fuel and engine wear by reducing your speed.

2) Be cool in traffic
Aggressive driving — speeding, swerving, sudden acceleration and braking is not only dangerous, it can lower your gas mileage 33 percent on highways and 5 percent on city streets. Revving your engine while stopped is even more wasteful.

3) But not too cool
Air conditioning can be a big drain on gasoline, so make sure you don't just leave it on absentmindedly, and certainly don't leave it on while windows are open, even if they're just cracked. You can improve your fuel efficiency in stop-and-go traffic by turning off the A/C and rolling down the windows instead, but that's not necessarily always the best idea. When driving above 55 mph, especially for long periods on highways, the opposite is true — open windows make a vehicle less aerodynamic by letting in air, which increases air resistance and decreases fuel efficiency. On long road trips, using air conditioning could actually improve your mileage by up to 20 percent.

4) Don't just sit there
On top of pointlessly pumping out greenhouse gases without actually getting you anywhere, idling automobiles also contribute to ground-level ozone, airborne particulate matter, and other near-surface air pollution. These emissions can aggravate asthma and even hinder breathing in otherwise healthy people, especially children and the elderly. If you're just idling to warm up your car in winter, it still only needs to run about a minute. Anything beyond that is just wasting gas.

5) Stay in tune
Fixing a car that needs a tune-up or has failed an emissions test can improve its fuel efficiency by an average of 4 percent. More serious problems, like a faulty oxygen sensor, can reduce mileage by up to 40 percent.
And don't forget to get an oil change roughly every 3,000 miles or three months, whichever comes first (or you could look into installing an Electro-Lube Oil Refiner, which reportedly eliminates the need for oil changes while boosting efficiency 3 to 4 percent).

6) Get pumped
Keeping a car's tires properly inflated can improve fuel efficiency by about 3.3 percent. It's also safer and lengthens the lifespan of your tires, since under-inflated tires lose their tread quickly in addition to wasting fuel. Regular checkups for your tires' alignment and balance aren't a bad idea, either.

7) Take a load off
While it mainly affects smaller cars, carrying extra weight means burning extra gasoline, no matter how big your vehicle is. On average, you may be cutting your fuel efficiency by up to 2 percent for every 100 extra pounds you haul.

8) Develop motor skills
Using the manufacturer's recommended grade of motor oil can boost mileage by 1 to 2 percent. Try to also use the lowest grade of gasoline that's appropriate for your car, since high-octane grades cost several cents more per gallon. Check your owner's manual to be sure, but as long as your engine doesn't start knocking, you're probably OK. Switching from premium to regular gasoline would save hundreds of dollars every year.

9) There's a cap for that
Gasoline can evaporate from a vehicle's fuel tank if it's able to find an opening, which is bad for your wallet and your lungs. Make sure your gas tank's cap is tightened securely after you fill up, and if the cap's threading is stripped or it fits too loosely, you might want to buy a new one.

10) Join the masses
Carpool or, even better, don't take a car at all - walk, ride a bike, or take mass transit. It saves you money, improves your personal health, and helps the planet by keeping greenhouse gases out of its atmosphere

Fenomena Gerhana Bulan Separa

Geometri Gerhana Bulan

We Will Not Go Down - Michael Heart

A blinding flash of white light
Lit up the sky over Gaza tonight
People running for cover
Not knowing whether they're dead or alive

They came with their tanks and their planes
With ravaging fiery flames
And nothing remains
Just a voice rising up in the smoky haze

We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
We will not go down
In Gaza tonight

Women and children alike
Murdered and massacred night after night
While the so-called leaders of countries afar
Debated on who's wrong or right

But their powerless words were in vain
And the bombs fell down like acid rain
But through the tears and the blood and the pain
You can still hear that voice through the smoky haze

We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
We will not go down
In Gaza tonight

Israel Fires Warning Shots At Malaysian Aid Ship To Gaza

KUALA LUMPUR, May 16 (Bernama) -- Two Israeli naval vessels fired warning shots at a Malaysian ship carrying humanitarian aid to Gaza near the Rafah border early Monday morning (Malaysian time).

All 12 passengers and crew onboard are now safe after Egyptian naval vessels came to their rescue and escorted the "MV Finch" to Al-Arish Port in Egypt, according to Bernama journalist, Mohd Faizal Hassan, who is also on board the ship.

The Israeli boats intercepted the Malaysian ship and ordered the captain to retreat before firing warning shots into the air, Faizal said through calls and the short-messaging service (SMS) to Bernama headquarters here a few hours after the incident.

He said the incident occurred at 6.05am local time (1.05am Malaysian time) when the ship, sponsored by Perdana Global Peace Foundation, was followed by the Israeli boats for about half hour before the four warning shots were fired into the air.

Faizal said one of the shots almost hit a crew member Mohd Jaffery Ariffin, causing the others to panic and hide for their safety.

"The Israelis asked us to stop the ship and withdraw to Egyptian waters. We managed to radio the Egyptian army for help.

"After a while, an Egyptian naval vessel came over and the Israeli boats left the scene," he said.

Of the 12 people onboard the ship, seven were Malaysians, while the other five comprised two crewmen from India, humanitarian activists Derek and Jenny Graham from Ireland and Julie Levesque from Canada.

Faizal said the Israelis violated international law by blocking their ship and firing the shots.

"They were using anti-aircraft .50mm shells," he said.

Faizal also said New Straits Times (NST) journalist Alang Bendahara managed to capture a video recording of Israel's cruel action towards them.

According to Faizal, after the Israeli navy fired the first shot, the ship's Captain Jalil Mansor was heard telling the Israelis through radio: "This is a violation of law against unarmed civilians".

The following exchange then took place.

Israeli army: "This is a warning shot. Turn around."

Captain Jalil Mansor: "We are unarmed civilians on a humanitarian mission to Gaza".

Israeli army: "This is a closed military zone. It's a violation. Turn around."

Captain Jalil Mansor: "We will continue (the mission)".

The Israelis then headed to the back of the aid vessel and released a second warning shot into the air.

Derek Graham: "This is a violation (of international law). We are on a peaceful mission and unarmed."

Israeli army: "Turn around. We will fire again".

Derek Graham: "You are firing towards unarmed civilians".

Israeli army: "We didn't fire towards unarmed civilians".

Derek Graham: "Looks like firing towards us".

Israeli army: "We didn't fire towards you. That is only a warning shot".

Following that conversation, the Israeli army fired two more shots and threatened: "Next time, we will land on your ship".

Then the Egyptian navy was heard telling the Israelis on the radio: "Stop firing. They are in the Egyptian waters".

Upon realising the presence of Egyptian naval forces, the Israelis departed.

The Malaysian-owned ship carrying human aid left Greece on Tuesday evening (Malaysian time) and entered the Mediterranean Sea heading towards Gaza, carrying 7.5 kilometres of UPVC sewage pipes to help restore the devastated sewerage system in gaza.

Sweet Carroll Line

Liverpool FC 3 - 0 Mercenaries City

Andy Carroll (£35M) - 2 goals
Belief me. There is more to come from this young lad. Andy surely has all the quality to become one of the finest English striker along side Robbie Fowler.

Luis Suarez (£23M) - 2 goals
Need no further explanation though. A legend in the making. Simply Brilliant. You'll Never Walk Alone El Pistolero

Fernando Torres £50M - 0 goal
What a joke. Chelsea splurge tremendous amount of money on Fernando and guess what?... after 10 games, he has yet to score a goal for the Blues.Well who's laughing now Mr Fernando? El Nino simply deserved to wear the 'Flop of the Decade' crown.

Edin Dzeko (£27M) - 0 goal
Another big name signing who has yet to score for his new club. Dzeko surely need some times to adapt to the physical nature of the BPL though.

Barakah 1000 Dinar

      2. Kalau hadir ke kenduri walimatul urus orang kerap salam berisi. Kalau tak ada duit nak dikepit dalam tangan, maka segan ia nak pergi makan kenduri. Tetapi kalau ia menziarah orang mati, tidak segan pula salam tak berisi. Sepatutnya kalau menziarah keluarga si matilah kita patut memberi sedekah.

      9. Kalau bekerja mengejar rezeki Allah tak kira siang malam, pagi petang, mesti pergi kerja. Hujan atau ribut tetap diharungi kerana hendak mematuhi peraturan kerja. Tapi ke masjid tak hujan, tak panas, tak ribut pun tetap tak datang ke masjid. Sungguh tak malu manusia begini, rezeki Allah diminta tapi nak ke rumah Nya segan dan malas.

McManaman sewaktu ketika mengejar glamour bersama Real Madrid tapi hakikatnya sekadar memanaskan bangku simpanan sahaja. Dia akhirnya hilang begitu sahaja. Gone with the wind.

Dia juga bakal gone with the wind.

"No player is bigger than the club". Kalau Torres dah tak mampu untuk cuba setia then it is time to say good bye to him. Walk alone Torres...You'll always walk alone.

      Farewell LFC Webmail

      Dear valued supporter,

It is with regret that we write to inform you that Liverpool Football Club has taken the decision to discontinue our LFC Webmail service.

While we value your custom and thank you for your support since launching the service, the take-up of the Webmail offering amongst supporters was not sufficient enough to warrant continuing the service.

We apologise for any inconvenience this decision causes you and encourage you to find an alternative email service ahead of February 28th, when the service will shut down.
      Yours sincerely,

      The LFC Team
